2010 Calendar 365 challenge - January completed

Well January passed by in a flash - It seemed to be snow, snow and even more snow.
Here are my completed pages for Kate's 2010 365 Calendar challenge. 11th is blank although I'm sure there was something to record that day - I just didn't get round to recording it and didn't make a note of it either. I have done my February page - just need to stick my squares down and we're good to go.

I have been doing some pages in my Wonderful Life journal this weekend. I love the weekends that i can just play and don't have to bother about all the other mundane jobs that still need doing LOL

Images used are from Lisa's Altered Art and Gaby Braun, banner on name page from Land of Nod Studios and bits from my own stash.

Hmm.. not very good with these updates am I !

Well here is what I have been working on, my new journal "It's a Wonderful Life".

I joined up for a free on-line class last year called "Stories in Hand" with Jessica Sprague. It was a series of prompts to encourage you to journal about different aspects of your life including your roots, your family, your likes and dislikes - you get the picture.

Unfortunately 'life' issues got in the way and I never got to do anything with the prompts. Now that I am learning so much about art journaling, I decided to make me a little book to journal my memories using Jessica's prompts. The prompts were typically American (no disrespect) and not always suited to me, so I will choose which prompts to use and discard the one's which aren't relevant. Simples!

Anyway here is my front cover - It's not as 'flourescent' in real life (must get one of the boys to explain the scanner and how to adjust colour etc - Oh the joys of technology!)

The image is from Lisa's Altered Art and I've used acrylics paint, chalk pastels, stamps, scraps of scrapbook papers. I'm happy with it. Now for the real test - getting beyond the cover LOL.

Kate's Calendar Challenge

Here is my 2nd attempt at my calandar pages for Kate's Chalenge (thekathrynwheel.blogspot.com). This is in an A4 spiral bound book that I had lying about - I don't particularly like the quality of the paper. Unfortunately it's all i have at hand.
Originaly my pages were 10x10 each and subsequently it didn't fit on the scanner bed! Ah well we live and learn. I actually prefer my original, but hey, this is going to have to be the one i will work on as it's the only one I can scan.

Ohhh errr..this is abit daunting.

The purpose of this blog is to (hopefully) share some of the tickle and phaff that I create. My arty offerings are not brilliant - but it keep me happy - and quiet (so my husband says, but I'm sure I don't know what he means by that!)

I suspect this blogging lark may be rather random, it's not an area I am familiar with but here goes!
